Monthly reanalysis is obtained from NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis; spatial coverage is 100W-80E, 0-90N; available from 1951 to present; updated at the beginning of the month.

Products are monthly maps of the variables and corresponding anomalies based on the reference period 1961-1990, at different pressure levels. Variables are geopotential height, mean temperature, wind, sea surface temperature (sst) and outgoing longwave radiation (olr). The maps include corresponding values of the teleconnection indices.

Ongoing research in SEEVCCC is also focused on correlation analysis between the teleconnection indices and the following parameters: geopotential height, temperature, precipitation and sea surface temperature; as well as monthly values and anomalies of the listed parameters when the indices reached extremes.
